Friggin' Fantastic

Got them off a Groupon last spring year for diagnostic and tune up when we bought our first home. The lady who sold it to us had four dogs and a cat. we love animals but these guys were bathed in the basement and her elctronic filter was shot. Needless to say we got a good deal on the place and boy did we strike dumb luck with the Weatherbusters. We replaced the elctronic with a high media filter, installed a UV lite, replaced the dinosaur thermostat, scourged the air ducts, opened her up and cleaned all the guts of dander and hair, replaced the huge drop duct, and finally scrubbed the A/C condenser and got her running nice. This is all after i spent five weeks disinfecting the basement top to bottom, and wiped down the air ducts shiny and clean with just hot water a sponge and a rag. A one man clean up show, crawling out of there like Cuasimodo every day until all i smelled was the roses and chlorine.

Just today Dave came in at 730AM sharp for their 4th or 5th visit, total, in a little over a year; was as quick and efficient as ever and showed me (not told me) how my system is running like a dream.

I have been a long time customer of Airflow (The Weather Busters). I came to them when my heating unit had broken down during a frigid night. I had another company come to fix the unit, as well as PSE&G. Neither was able to do so. Airflow responded quickly and was the only one able to do the repair. Since then I have been a loyal customer, servicing both my air conditioner and heating units. They always respond promptly, day or night, and the repair is done correctly. Hi Jim,

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you why I will always be a customer of The Weather Busters. Saturday night I came home from dinner to find part of our community had lost power. Unfortunately, I was one of the unlucky ones. The generator was running, but there were no lights in the house. I called your emergency number and left a message, but I had Perry's cell phone number from his proposal and decided to give him a call. He was totally professional and tried to guide me to get the lights on, but that didn't work. Within minutes, I got a call from Robert who said he would come over and see what the problem was. The breaker had to be moved manually, but we were back in business. Robert did advise me that he would be getting an electrician to look at it to see why this happened.

Both Perry and Robert impressed me with their efficiency, knowledge, getting to me in a timely manner and again for their professionalism. You should be very proud to have them as part of your team. I will never hesitate to recommend The Weather Busters because of these two men.

This company did awesome job. I called for the estimation on whole house humilifier. Perry tested my unit throughly and provided professional advisement. Oh yeah, get this . . . NO CHARGE! "We want customers for life, not just one-time repairs." Well OK then Brian C, you got it.

Planning and professionalism for new AC system installation

Dear Denise, this letter will serve to confirm our complete satisfaction with the recent air conditioning installation. More importantly, the crew which included Paul as the unit leader, did a great job. Paul took the time to review with me my concerns about the existing cooling arrangements and worked with me to layout the new flow design. Prior to doing any floor cutting, he marked the floor so we could see how it would look. This, in my opinion, eliminated any potential miscommunications. Furthermore, the group did take the time to lay down floor coverings and put on foot wear to prevent dirtying the floor. The new system is working well. Most importantly, the air circulation has increased dramatically which is what was lacking in the old design. Thank you for taking the time to come down and help us with our home a/c issues.


Excellent job on furnace installation

We just wanted to say thank you so much for the excellent installation job you did on our new furnace. We could not be more pleased with your company from the speed of service, cleanliness of the installation and the professionalism of your staff, at every turn. When it comes to replacing your furnace and your home has no heat and the temperature is hovering at the freezing mark, you feel as though you do not have many choices or options. NOT TRUE WITH THE WEATHER BUSTERS! – Your sales rep, Joe, was great, not pushy, didn’t make us feel as though we had our backs against the wall and when it came to agreeing on the price, your crew, Lou and Danny, were in our home that following morning before 8 am! (Keep in mind, those of you that participate in that, “worry free” contract with your local public service gas company.’ain’t so worry free’. It does not include replacement of your furnace or your water heater…it’s more of a repair service at best and you still have to pay for the parts/labor. Oh and their price was more than 2x the amount of The Weather Busters price for the exact same unit.)
When I came home later that evening, the installation crew was gone, I could not even tell that there had been anyone at the house had I not gone into the laundry room to see the new unit ! Areas of the house that used to be colder than other rooms are now all toasty and warm. All we can say is, WOW. We are very impressed.

Installation of booster fan

At the risk of being boring (it wouldn’t be the first time that claim is laid at my door) I write to thank you and your coworkers for the installation of the booster fan. Even as Paul was testing the air output it seemed to me a significant improvement over the way things have been up until now. Thank you for this! I would have written to send these thanks earlier but I was busy finalizing lectures with which to torture unwary undergraduates. I am certain they would prefer I were writing thank you notes to send to you. Two or three things come to mind as the ongoing (happy) tale of Weather Busters serving the heating and cooling needs of the [M.] family moves forward:
Paul and J.R. (as well as all the other folks from Weather Busters (yourself included . . . feel free to pat yourself on the back!) leave me as a homeowner with a feeling of confidence that customer service and satisfaction are the highest priority of your firm. I may, thus, affirm the slogan on the side of Paul’s truck, “Your Comfort is Our Passion.” Good for you! Paul, J.R., Perry, Rocco, YOU, and other folks from your company whose names escape me at this moment have proven to be amongst — if not THE — most courteous business people I have dealt with in my thirty plus years of living on the east coast, This level of courteous behavior is measured against my Midwestern upbringing (Saint Louis, Missouri) where most of us were raised to believe, “If something ain’t right, we will work to make it right.” Again, good for you!
I was impressed in particular of what little relationship I have been able to observe between Paul and J.R. during their two visits to our home. What I mean is my belief that Paul, the more senior member of this pair, does not treat J.R. as a “go-fer.” I believe that Paul made as many (well, nearly as many) trips up and down the stairs as did J.R. The reason I comment upon this state of affairs is that this is the relationship I see with my students at the university. I think of these younger people — and do occasionally call them — “junior colleagues.” If they think of themselves as “flunkies,” they have that much less of a reason to cooperate with me in the educational process. Good for Paul! And just as good for your corporate culture.
I have probably rambled on beyond your level of endurance or of patience. My bottom line is that I look forward to a continued happy relationship with you and with your company not just during the service period (5 years is it?), but into the foreseeable future.

Without you, I wouldn’t be alive today

Thank you, thank you, and thank you for sending the service man to my house. I don’t know if I would be alive today if it weren’t for him. I had carbon monoxide in my house and I didn’t even know it. My carbon monoxide detectors never even went off. He used a device that was able to detect the level of carbon monoxide and then he showed me how my furnace had a crack in the heat exchanger with his infrared camera. I couldn’t believe how fast you were able to replace my furnace. The guys were very professional, courteous and neat. Thank you again!


Safe haven in the eye of the storm

Our neighborhood, like so many others in adjoining towns, was hit hard by the recent severe storms. We lost power for at least 27 straight hours and then intermittently over the next few days. While so many of my neighbors were dealt the misery of flooded basements and the loss of heating and refrigeration, we were fortunate to have the backup generator which worked exactly as it was supposed to. Our sump pump continued to operate, and this was my biggest concern. Thank you for installing and maintaining a functional (and necessary) piece of equipment, and for being there to answer my questions

Thank you so much for coming to the rescue once more with your expertise, professionalism, timeliness and empathy. Your type of service has not changed a bit in the ten years since we first asked for your professional help. In fact, your work as well as your people relations have gotten even better. I personally liked the fact that you were open to requests that while reasonable went beyond the original contract. That really helped us a lot.
My wife, who is experiencing your service for the first time, was so impressed with the cleanliness that you undertook while doing multiple applications over several days. She said, “not even a cigarette butt or ash or anything anywhere even outside”. The fact that the guys had to dig out a large bush (not really in the plans) so that they can install the condenser unit was something that she found amazing. The guys were still able to keep to the schedule and finish everything on time and as expected.
Me personally, I am hopeful your equipment will once more help me and the children with our allergies as it did when we were living in Oradell. Can’t wait. Plus the energy savings from the higher SEER air conditioner/furnace system should help the monthly budget going forward. Everything up to par, in compliance, aesthetically pleasing and cleanly done. Thanks guys.
